Corrections Policy

We aim for accuracy in every article, but law changes quickly and errors can slip through. This policy explains how we handle mistakes once we know about them.

1. How we learn about errors

Errors reach us through three channels: reader emails, attorney review during quarterly updates, and our own monitoring of government announcements. We treat every report seriously, regardless of source.

2. Error severity levels

  • Critical: A wrong deadline, fee, or legal requirement that could cause a reader to miss a filing or lose a right. Corrected within 4 hours. Affected readers are notified by email if we have their address.
  • Significant: A wrong statute citation, outdated procedure, or missing step. Corrected within 48 hours. Noted at the bottom of the article.
  • Minor: A typo, broken link, or formatting issue. Corrected within 5 business days.

3. Correction process

When we confirm an error, the reviewing attorney drafts the correction. An editor applies it to the article, updates the "Updated" date, and adds a correction note. The note includes the date of the correction and a brief description of what changed. We do not remove the original text without explanation.

4. How to report an error

Email legal@yousafeconsultancy.com with the article URL, the incorrect text, and what you believe is correct. If you can, include a link to the primary source (statute, regulation, or government guidance). We reply within 48 hours to confirm receipt and tell you the expected resolution timeline.

5. No retaliation

We do not retaliate against readers, attorneys, or staff who report errors. Anonymous reports are accepted, though we may need to follow up for source verification.
